![]() I don't *think* my 2.8L is running hot (the temp gauge usually rests right between the two marks before the middle 220 mark, although it jerks around a bit). My engine has 152k miles on it, all original. I purchased some Water Wetter today and hopefully this weekend when I do a coolant change I'll update with any differences in temperature. I've only ran a bit of seafoam through the car since I've had it. I'm not much into using those additives as well. none of those oil additives or transmission additives or any of that crap.ġ981 EZ-GO Xi875-A "Miami Dolphins" Medical Cart I occasionally run a half-quart of ATF fluid in my oil (in the older cars) to soften up and swell the gaskets, and I do run a can of Seafoam or BG-44 carbon cleaner in the fuel tank once every 35k miles in all my cars, but I don't use ANYTHING else. It really does work, I forget the science behind it, but it's definitely not snake oil.įor what it's worth, I don't use any other "weird" stuff. I recently flushed my coolant about 2k miles ago (I'm at 44k) and didn't put any back in, and it sits at the 1/2 mark all the time now. ![]() My car is modified somewhat, but at the time the car would always sit at the 1/2 mark, and then after taking SOME coolent out and replacing it with those two small bottles, it immediately started running firmly at 1/3rd mark after warming up. ![]() That was the ONLY thing I did to make that change. The temperature gauge now sits firmly at the 1/3rd mark, where as before, it ALWAYS sat at the 1/2 mark. I used TWO bottles in my 2002 Crown Victoria LX-P74 which only (at the time) had 32k miles on it, with very little wear or use). The only one I have used is the Redline Water Wetter. ![]()
